28th April 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 20-40 knots Surf / Sea State: Choppy - Flat Air Temperature: 13-20ºC Sea Temperature: 10ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: 31.4 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 19.9 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Good old Ivor.... Up at the crack of dawn and met Impi so we were on the water for 6ish... Wellpowered with my 5m and S-Type, but very choppy so the conditions were pretty challenging. We had a few half-hearted little periods on the water but were really waiting for the tide to drop a little and the water to flatten off... As the tide dropped the wind went ballistic for a while so it was out with the 4-4.5m sails and wave boards. The wind did ease off a gain a bit, but still enough for 5m sails which I still had rigged. We got off thwater around 10am as Steve arrived, and we thought the wind was sropping. But it soon filled in again and stayed at around 25-30 knots all day with gorgeous sunshine... Time for another session..... |
